Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy applies to all services provided by Verity Intelligence. Please read this Privacy Policy to understand how we use and process personal data we have collected or may collect from you that are publicly accessible and/or provided with your consent.
By providing your personal data and/or using our services and/or Site, you are consenting to this Privacy Policy and the collection, use, access, transfer, storage and processing of your personal data described in this Privacy Policy as modified at the discretion of Verity Intelligence.
We have appointed a Data Protection Officer (DPO) to oversee our compliance with the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA), manage our data protection practices, and handle data subject requests and complaints.
Any changes made to this Privacy Policy will be updated on our Site. Any revisions or changes to the Privacy Policy will continue to apply to all personal data that has previously been shared and collected by Verity Intelligence.
If you are under 18 years of age, you must obtain the consent of your parents or legal guardian before using our services and/or products. Verity Intelligence does not knowingly process personal data of individuals under 18 without such consent.

In accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA), as amended in 2024, Verity Intelligence makes the following commitments:
- Data Processor (Candidate Data): Verity Intelligence acts as a Data Processor when handling personal data submitted by our clients (the Data Controllers) for the purpose of pre-employment background checks. We process such data strictly under client instructions. Our clients are responsible for obtaining consent from candidates before submitting personal data to us.
- Data Controller (Data Collected Directly by Verity): Verity Intelligence may act as a Data Controller for personal data collected directly through our website (e.g., when you submit inquiries, subscribe to newsletters, or accept cookies) as well as data collected during events, meetings, or other interactions with us. - Processing: Candidate personal data is processed in-house and is not outsourced to external vendors for background check activities.
- Data Breach Notification: In the event of a personal data breach that poses a risk of harm, Verity Intelligence will notify the relevant Data Controller (our client) without delay so they can fulfill their obligations to the Personal Data Protection Commissioner and affected individuals in accordance with the PDPA Amendment 2024. For website-collected data where Verity acts as a Controller, we will notify the Commissioner directly as required.
Under the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (Amended 2024), individuals (data subjects) have certain rights regarding their personal data, including:
- Right of Access: You may request access to the personal data processed about you.
- Right to Correction: You may request correction of your personal data if it is inaccurate, incomplete, misleading, or outdated.
- Right to Withdraw Consent: You may withdraw consent to the processing of your personal data at any time, subject to contractual or legal restrictions.
- Right to Be Informed: You are entitled to be informed of how your personal data is collected, used, and processed.
- Right to Complain: You may lodge a complaint with the Personal Data Protection Commissioner if you are dissatisfied with the handling of your personal data.
Candidate Data: For personal data submitted by clients, candidates should exercise their PDPA rights through the Data Controller (the client who engaged us). However, if Verity collects candidate data directly (e.g., under our Candidate Management service), candidates may exercise their rights directly with Verity. We will coordinate with the client to ensure the request is handled in line with the PDPA.
Data Collected Directly by Verity: For personal data collected directly by Verity Intelligence (e.g. via our website, events, meetings, or other interactions), you may exercise these rights by contacting us at pdpa@verityintel.com.
Other rights under the PDPA may also apply depending on the circumstances.
Verity Intelligence may use other companies to assist with some of the functions on the Site, such as payments, deliveries, marketing etc. These companies may have access to some of your personal data to perform their job.
Third-party vendors with access to data from this Site will have limited and restricted use.
All third-party vendors are contractually bound to comply with this Privacy Policy and the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (Amended 2024). They are prohibited from using personal data for any other purpose and are required to implement appropriate security measures.
We may collect the following information:
- Name
- Contact information including email address
- Demographic information such as postcode, preferences and interests
- Other information relevant to customer surveys and/or offers
Candidate Data (Processor Role): For candidate personal data submitted by clients, Verity processes the data solely to perform background checks or provide services as instructed by the client. We do not use candidate data for marketing, research, or any purpose beyond the client’s instructions. For cases where we collect candidate data directly (e.g., Candidate Management service), we process the data only to provide the agreed service and coordinate with the client as needed.
Data Collected Directly by Verity (Controller Role): For personal data collected directly by Verity Intelligence (e.g., through our website, events, meetings, or other interactions), Verity may use the information to:
- Maintain internal records
- Improve our products and services
- Send updates or promotional information if you have opted in
- Contact you for feedback or market research if you consent
- Customise our communications or services according to your interests
We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, we have implemented suitable physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we process.
Personal data is retained only for as long as it is necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected or to satisfy legal, regulatory, or operational requirements. Data will be securely deleted or anonymised when no longer needed.
Verity Intelligence complies with the principles of personal data protection under the PDPA 2010 (Amended 2024), including requirements relating to security, retention, accuracy, access, and disclosure, as applicable to our role as both Data Processor and, where relevant, Data Controller.
A cookie is a small file which asks permission to be placed on your computer's hard drive. Once you agree, the file is added and the cookie helps analyse web traffic or lets you know when you visit a particular site. Cookies allow web applications to respond to you as an individual. The web application can tailor its operations to your needs, likes and dislikes by gathering and remembering information about your preferences.
We use traffic log cookies to identify which pages are being used. This helps us analyse data about web page traffic and improve our website in order to tailor it to customer needs. We only use this information for statistical analysis purposes and then the data is removed from the system.

You may choose to restrict the collection or use of your personal information in the following ways:
