Details: A Payroll Manager of a Manufacturing Company was found guilty of payroll fraud. He would create ‘ghost employees’, employees that simply do not exist. These employees would be friends or relatives of the Payroll Manager, holding minor positions for a short duration of time. And of course, these employees would need to be paid. The Payroll Manager would then issue salary cheques and take a big cut for himself. Within a span of 10 months, he has amassed a small fortune of more than RM250,000…how scary for the company!
