For anyone who needs a fake degree and is willing to pay for one (the alternative would be to Photoshop your own), a Diploma Mill would be where they would turn to. Diploma Mills, also known as Degree Mills, are unaccredited higher education institutions that you can pay for a (illegitimate) degree.
Whether you need a Bachelor, Masters or PhD, just Google search “order a fake degree”, and you will see numerous websites offering all types of qualifications. And when searched by employers conducting background checks, Diploma Mills often come across as substantial and solid as any other education institution, with pictures of campuses, faculty and students, contact details, the full works. But the truth is, they do not exist beyond their domain names.
Besides filtering (1) Photoshop-ed certificates and (2) fully-operational but unaccredited institutions by official State / Ministry of Education, employers now have to assess (3) whether a seemingly authoritative certificate originated from a Diploma Mill. What’s worse is that often Diploma Mills are ‘accredited’ by Accreditation Mills!
This is why it is important to outsource Education Verification to the expert Background Check Companies. Don’t be a victim to the hundreds of Diploma Mills out there!
