Each year, Ernst & Young (EY) organises the EY Entrepreneur Of The Year™, a unique global program that recognizes entrepreneurial achievement among individuals and companies that have demonstrated the following criteria: vision, leadership and success. The award also acknowledges the various work done from the respective nominees in their contribution to the betterment of local communities, countries and the world at large.
In this regard, we are thrilled that our Group Managing Director, Mark Leow, was awarded Top Nominee for the highly coveted Ernst & Young (EY) Entrepreneur Of The Year™ 2019 in the Technology Category – Malaysia, for his continuous commitment in upholding business excellence and spearheading the background screening industry in Malaysia and Singapore. His passion towards inducing a positive change through background screening services has helped prevent companies from becoming victims of embezzlement and fraud. This is also aligned with Verity’s vision to ‘Make the World a Safer Place’.
Taking this commitment a step further, we have devised a new comprehensive program, called the Safe Hiring Program (SHP) as a means to acknowledge those who have undertaken the initiative to put in place due diligence. The Safe Hiring Program is a multi-tiered certification program that helps companies display the level of safety, systems and standards that have been put in place. This also acts as a point-of-reference for businesses, vendors and employees to verify one’s safety and security level.
